Why 2 Traveling Dragons

“Happiness is being married to your best friend!”

Why 2 traveling dragons? First of all, the domain was available. LOL. No, I wanted to reflect some of both my husband’s and my own personalities. According to Google, a dragon is adventurous (we are definitely that, as you will find out as you read this blog.) A dragon has “ambitious goals and grand blueprints for the future.” Anyone who has ever worked with me knows, this is me. Maybe too ambitious. The dragon can keep a “cool head and make decisions quickly and act like a king.” Ok in reality this is not me, but assuredly my husband, Eugene. Eugene is truly a leader, a man of his word, a king. He is at the least my king. A female dragon has “lofty ideals and a strong sense of responsibility, can work consciously to the benefit of others and does everything in a bold or resolute manner. ” In my career, as a Special Education Administrator, I was known for outside the box ideas. Sometimes, it drove my colleagues a little crazy. But my thoughts were always with the children. I am one of those people who went into education because I honestly love children. I wanted to make a difference. Hopefully, as an educator, I did make a difference to some. Finally, according to Google, dragons in a relationship are supportive and caring for each other and love to share adventures. They are not likely to spend much time sitting at home. Bingo! This is us. We have been traveling about 9 months out of the year. We love being together and sharing each adventure. Our goal is to ensure that at the end, we have no regrets, no missed opportunities to experience, to live and to laugh. We are blessed to be dragons.
