Our Story

Eugene and I were married 36 years ago. He was 19 and I was 29. And yes, I was a cougar, before a cougar was cool. But, evidently it has worked for us. We are still best friends and stupid in love. We are blessed. We have been working together to build a good life for ourselves and hopefully for our children and grandchildren. We are average people, who have been fortunate to have good careers. As life would have it, our plan for retirement was interrupted abruptly, because of my health. I was told to destress my life or likely die. Where do you go from there? We decided to live every day like it was the last. We wanted to see the world, but truly did not have the budget to support such extensive travel. So six years later, we are still going strong. We have gotten “creative” in finding ways to travel on a budget, earn extra money and have the time of our lives. The reason I am writing this travel blog is to share, to inspire and to celebrate. I hope that you will find some information useful. And perhaps, be inspired to find your own adventures and live every day to the fullest. We may not be the “prettiest people, but we are happy!” Happiness is a choice. We choose “HAPPY”. Please enjoy our stories and adventures and take time to create a story of your own.
